Overview
MPS provides excellent throwing power in acid copper plating, including at elevated temperatures. Replacing part of the SPS in a brightener formulation with an appropriate amount of MPS can improve brightness and throwing power. It is suitable for decorative copper plating, PCB copper plating and electrolytic copper foil.
Too little MPS reduces throwing power or brightness. Excess MPS can reduce leveling or produce a whitish, rough deposit. The formulation and replenishment rate should be matched to the application.
