Overview
PPS (Pyridinium, 1-(3-sulfopropyl)-, hydroxide, inner salt) is a strong leveling agent for bright nickel plating. Used with secondary brighteners such as acetylenic alcohols, ethers and their derivatives, it helps produce a smooth, mirror-bright surface. It has high purity, few decomposition products and good leveling at high current densities.
Excessive addition may cause brittle deposits or dark spots in low-current-density areas. Match replenishment to bath analysis and the plating process.
